Christmas Services
Merry Christmas! We'd love for you to join us celebrating Jesus' birth. Here’s what’s happening this Christmas across our two sites:
Above Bar Church City meets at Above Bar Church, 69, Above Bar Street, SO14 7FE. All services and refreshments are free. There is no car-parking on site, but plenty of options are nearby!
21st December 6.15pm - Carols by Candlelight. Carols, readings and a short talk, followed by refreshments.
25th December 10am - Christmas Day service. Come and celebrate the birth of Jesus with us!
Above Bar Church East meets at Woodlands Community College, Minstead Ave, Southampton SO18 5FW. All services and refreshments are free, and parking at Woodlands is free and plentiful. Follow the signs from the carpark to the hall.
14th December 4-5pm - Carol Service
Carols, readings and a short talk, with two performances by our community choir. Activity packs, aimed at primary school aged children, will be available. Followed by refreshments21st December 10.15-11.15am - Christingle Service for all ages. Refreshments from 10am.
4th January 10.15-11.30am - 'Try Church' Sunday
You are always welcome to join us any Sunday, but if you don't normally go to church, this Sunday is especially for you. 'Sunday School' groups for 0-16 year olds. Refreshments from 10am, and optional free hot lunch after the service.
Christmas Appeal
This year, we are supporting 4 charities in our Christmas Appeal - Southampton City Mission, The Big Difference, CAP (Christians Against Poverty) and Renuevos. Watch the videos below to find out more about each charity or click the buttons to head to their websites.
