Church History

Church History is a 5 week course running over consecutive weeks. We will be exploring the church history from the compilation of scripture through to the church we have today. The content of this course is designed to equip followers of Jesus with a foundation in the church.

• Christendom: Scripture neglected & rediscovered | 17th Nov / 9:00-10:00

  In this first session of the course Richard Blake will teach on the neglect and rediscovery of scripture.

• Reformation: Europe & England | 24th Nov / 9:00-10:00

  Richard takes us forward in time to the reformation period.

• Revival: 18th-19th century in America & Britain | 1st Dec / 9:00-10:00

  Off to the 18th and 19th century to consider revival in America and Britain.

• Global Expansion of Mission | 8th Dec / 9:00-10:00

  Richard will teach on the global expansion of mission in the 19th century.

• The World & the Church | 15th Dec / 9:00-10:00

  To finish off this course, Richard will teach on the world and the church.

Course Tutor

Richard Blake is the lead tutor for this module. With a foundation in teaching professionally and a passion for history; Richard is a Bible teacher, serving as a volunteer at Above Bar Church.
